That's makes sense. If I remember right, "Blue Peter" was still being kinescoped into the early 1980's. I'd pay good money to see 1980's kinescopes!

And loads of episodes of Doctor Who up to the 80s only existed in kinoscoped form. But the BBC puts so much money into remastering the doctor that they restore the picture to the high res 50fps video standard they were filmed off before they make the DVDs. So by the time the public sees them they no longer look like 'scopes.
